For Bear Fans With Kids
over 4 years ago – Tue, Nov 05, 2019 at 09:16:47 PM

For those of you who like kids stories (and why not, a story is a story) my new children’s horror comedy fairy tale is out: Brave Ollie Possum! It is a 380 page novel with over 200 illustrations. I’m selling it on my store now, signed with art and more stuff. It will be on Amazon November 12.

Please give it a look! This will be an awesome Christmas Present for the kids in your life. And as always, thanks for helping me fund Bears Want To Kill You! The book is almost completely sold out.

Bears is on Amazon! Please do me a huge solid and review it!
almost 5 years ago – Mon, May 20, 2019 at 10:55:02 AM

Hey! If you loved Bears Want to Kill You, it is now up on Amazon. I will be promoting its official public release pretty hard in the next few days and it would be incredibly helpful if there were some reviews already on the page when people go to buy the book.

Here is the link.

Currently, BWTKY is in Kindle and Paperback on Amazon, but they are not connected. I am trying to remedy that. For now, please review the paperback and hopefully I can get them to connect the two.

Also, please share the link and let people know about it!

I am selling this book direct, so when people buy it from Amazon it is coming straight outta my garage.

Thanks in advance - Amazon reviews are a HUGE help to an indie author like myself.  And thanks for making this all possible in the first place!

Selling 1.5 gigs of art and comics to help cover shipping
almost 5 years ago – Tue, Apr 02, 2019 at 01:44:10 AM

So, all of the orders (except most of the International orders) have shipped.

One thing I messed up on though... shipping costed more than expected. The prices went up on me from what I had estimated, and a lot of people ordered multiple books which I had not expected.

I AM COVERING IT. That is the first thing I want to make clear.

But I am giving you the option of helping me out because the money I set aside to cover shipping is not going to cover the bill.

So what I did is I created a massive file of sketchbooks, art, comics and stuff and am offering it as a digital download for a minimum of $5.  You can name your price above $5. (I made it a minimum of $5 because there is years of work in there. YEARS!)

If you ordered a single book I only under-charged on shipping by about $2.00

If you ordered two books, I undercharged by nearly $5.00

If you ordered a canvas print, I undercharged by about $12.00

Part of this is that I did not factor in enough for packaging and other expenses.

Like I said, this is optional for you, obviously. Many of you already got your stuff!  But if you want to help me out here, you get a massive zip file of my work either way, and you help me cover this bill, which is still growing. Totally up to you, either way I am so grateful to you for ordering my book.

International orders, some of you I will be contacting individually because I was WAY off on a few.

Anyway, here is the link if you would like to buy my giant digital file and help me cover the rest of shipping costs. Thanks so much to everyone for backing this project!!!!  https://gum.co/ieuIm

Where my books? CHECK FOR YOUR NAME IN THIS LIST
about 5 years ago – Sun, Mar 24, 2019 at 06:00:12 PM

OK so, this is alllll a learning process. A few things...

As many of you know I switched to BackerKit once Kickstarter was done, that way I could get some more orders tacked on and offer the ability to throw more items in with your order (which many of you did, so thanks!)  Backerkit sent out surveys which many of you filled out. How and when you filled those out had an effect on a few things:

-If you filled our your survey only recently, then whatever name you entered will NOT be listed among the fallen, as the book was finished and sent to printers months ago. Hopefully that is obvious. What I did do, is I took a list of all Kickstarter backers then I appended any names I found different in the survey questions. It was a messy process and all I can say is I am really really sorry if I missed anyone.

-The other thing some people did is they did not confirm their addresses. BackerKit will not approve an order until it gets the CONFIRMED address, to avoid any postal problems. If you are on this list I do not have your address and I have not been able to reach you through the provided email, OR there is trouble with your pledge:

  • P Baumann
  • Artcephus
  • P Branting
  • J Chan
  • S Sibert
  • K-D Richardson
  • Travis Dillon
  • M Kovacs
  • M Berthold

Please contact me by March 31 if you are on this list!

I have been packing and sorting and prepping for weeks now. I sent out some packages but many more will go out next week. I am taking a short Spring Break trip with my family then will be sending out everything else.

SHIPPING

I undercharged on almost ALL of the shipping. I am going to eat the cost as long as it is a few bucks off. For larger discrepancies I may reach out.

A NOTE ON THE PRODUCT:

The hard covers are beautiful, but some of them fit very tightly in their sleeve. Try not to force it out if it seems stuck. I find shaking it up and down and patting  the box, or even slightly prying it will get the book to fall out. I opened every single case so that I could put the signed bookplate inside.

If your dust jacket comes and it seems really badly messed up, I may be able to replace a few of them.

Please post on social media when you get your book! I'll be following up with an official release to the public in May/June. So let people who are interested that I will be putting the book on Amazon around that time.

I think that is all for now... thanks so much for supporting this book! It turned out amazing.
