My Reddit AMA is today at 1:30pm pacific time!

I'm guessing many of you know what that is, but if you don't check it out, there are some fascinating posts: https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/

It's a place where you can ask someone anything who has a unique job or perspective.

My obvious goal in doing this is to promote the book, but if it feels like an ad, nobody is going to want to join in. AMA's can get interesting, you can ask anything. Bear questions, Axe Cop questions, anything you have a question about. Let's make this fun.

All you have to do is drop in and post your question. No need to hang around if you have other things to do. That's what's nice about it. I'll be answering questions for about 2 hours.

Interesting questions with interesting answers make the whole thing more fun for people to read, and it can be a great way to introduce other people on Reddit to my work or to let them know what I have been up to since I made Axe Cop.

22k Stretch Goal Achieved & Reddit IAmA Thursday

Foil stamp hardcover has been achieved! Thanks to my recent backers for jumping in and making it happen.

Next stretch goal is 25k and I'll add a fold-out page to the book with either a map or chart of important bear information. Regardless, this is going to be a pretty book!

On Thursday, May 3rd, I'll be doing a Reddit IAmA (Ask me Anything) at 1:30 PM. Joining in is very helpful, so even if you want to ask a ridiculous question, please stop in and post. It helps keep the thread high up on the list and invites new readers to pop in and see what is going on.

NEW Stretch Goals

Thanks for all your input on the stretch goals. I think the slipcase and the leather bookmark seem to be the most popular choices.

I talked to the printer and they are going to throw in the Spot U/V gloss with the order, so the softcovers and hardcovers will have spot gloss. Fancy!

The next step is to do a foil stamp on the hardcover beneath the dust jacket. Here's a mockup of what it could look like, though if we hit this goal, I think I'll do a few mockups and get a vote going.

 To achieve foil stamping we only need to hit $22k. We are really close to that!

Next stretch goal to add another level of snazzy to the book is to add a fold-out page that would either be a map or a chart of bear moves. To get a fold-out page, I need to hit $25K.

Next, and more spendy, is the slipcase. I have come up with two potential mockups (for now):

There's plenty of time to come up with different designs for these. To achieve this stretch goal I'd need to hit 30k. These would be available ONLY to Kickstarter backers who bought the hardcover. 

Custom leather bookmarks seem pretty expensive. If we get anywhere near 30K I'll start looking at prices.

Live Stream Wednesday and International Shipping

Hey Bear-Backers!

I'll be going live Wednesday, April 25th at 1:30pm pacific time on the one-week launch-iversary! If we hit the 20K stretch goal by then (we're close!) then I would like to discuss further potential upgrades as the budget increases.

If you can't be on at that time, leave a question on this post if you have one and I will address it on the broadcast. The video will remain on this page or two days after it is live if you want to watch it later.

Also, international backers, I know the shipping costs are insane. Trust me, I am not putting any profit on that, that is the cost with packaging. One deal I would like to make with international backers who are being held back by shipping costs is to offer a digital reward that doesn't add to the weight of the shipment.

OK Bearmageddon preppers,I'm going to be pricing out potential upgrades. Here are items I will be looking into. If any of these stand out to you as something would really like me to add as a stretch goal, please vote in the comments.

• Spot gloss on hardcover: This means part of the image on the cover will have a glossy look to it and the rest of the cover will be matte. It's fancy looking.
• Dust jacket: right not he hardcover has no dust jacket.
• Dust jacket with foil impront on hardcover: The dust jacket will have 
• Bear fur slip case
• Slip case with Majestic Piledriver painting and metallic foil border.
• Bear fur bookmark.
• Leather bookmark with images of Basic Bear Attacks
• Leather slipcase with bear claw marks
• Bear claw necklace (faux)
  
• Severed bear head with every purchase (faux)
• All pages printed on tanned bear hide (faux)
• Cyanide capsules for when the bears come (real)
  
• Pressed flowers
• A massive fold-out page with EVERY bear move on it
